Ilya Khaykin
Partner, Head of Climate Risk and Sustainable Finance Americas, Oliver Wyman

Ilya Khaykin is a partner in the Risk & Public Policy Practice and heads the Americas Financial Services (FS) Climate platform, based in New York. Ilya works extensively across topics of climate scenario analysis, climate risk management, net zero strategy and target setting. Ilya is leading much of our climate related work for the World Economic Forum, and has worked with the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ), and the TCFD Secretariat (the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures) in addition to bilateral work with private sector Financial Institutions (FIs). He is also a Visiting Scholar at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), focused on integrating climate risks into financial sector stability assessments.

 

Ilya has been leading Oliver Wyman’s work with S&P Global and the development of Climate Credit Analytics (CCA), our analytics solution for climate scenario analysis of corporate exposures. He has spoken at a range of industry conferences and authored multiple publications on climate risk, net zero, political risk, stress testing, and risk identification.

 

Ilya joined the firm following his completion of postgraduate studies at the London School of Economics and the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris in November of 2006. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Applied Physics with a minor in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University. He is fluent in French.
